Remembering September 11th

My dear Friends:
I am a great believer in the Word of God, and the comfort and peace it brings to our broken hearts. When our oldest son died I bought a new Bible and searched for every verse that helped to heal my shattered heart, and when September 11th, 2001, happened, I did the same thing. Below are the gems from His Word that gave me peace of mind and heart (The Book of Isaiah became especially precious):

GOD IS OUR FRIEND:

Isaiah 61:1-3: He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release for the prisoners...to comfort all who mourn...to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
Isaiah 53:4: Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows.
Isaiah 40:11: He tends His flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart...
